Good News – Prostate Cancer is 96% curable when diagnosed early!
***Read and follow this conversation.***
True story… 47-year-old patient was told, “It’s too early for you to get a PSA right now. We don’t start screening for those until age 50.”
Patient could have said, “I would like a PSA test today due to my high level of risk.” Or something else like, “I would rather not wait and want to be screened for it now, how do I get it done?”
What did the patient actually do? They said, “Ok” and walked out the door unscreened. Let’s change this going forward.
If the medical provider is listening to you and is up to date on risk level and screening, they should order the test. If they are not, then they just are not paying attention. Follow your gut.
